Key to Invulnerability by Snuffles379 Key to Invulnerability by Snuffles379
"...One of the greatest, and least acknowledged, temptations of magic: the quest for invulnerability. Of course, such a quest is nothing more or less than foolish fantasy. No man or woman alive, magical or not, has ever escaped some form of injury, whether physical, mental, or emotional."- Albus Dumbledore on "the Warlock's Hairy Heart"

This is a key inspired by one of J.K. Rowling's drawings from the collectors edition of "The Tales of Beedle the Bard".
To be totally honestly I'm not 100% sure which story the drawing is from as its not directly used in the book itself but as soon as I saw her sketch I knew I needed to make it. I believe it could be from "The Warlock's Hairy Heart" but If anyone knows anything about it please do not hesitate to let me know!! I'm pretty curious.
Either way its a brilliant design with a small sword located in the center of the key. I created it using polymer clay and acrylic paint.

i think youre right, it makes sense that the key would be the one to the chest (no pun intended) that held the heart in 'the warlock's hairy heart'. didnt he believe the secret to being invulnerability was not to love?

That's the first thing I thought as well! Especially since there is a little key in the drawing for that story near the heart and the story features a silver dagger. However I reread the end bit before posting this, to see if I could find a mention of the key, and the wizard actually opens the chest with his wand so there is no real direct reference. So I'm still not positive.

But that is what he believed and in the end he dies trying to get the one thing he thought he didn't want.
